De onderhandelingen tussen Aqualectra en Eagle Energy zijn nog in volle gang. Vandaag woonde Economie-minister Cijntje de gesprekken bij. In april tekenden de twee bedrijven een akkoord op hoofdlijnen voor de levering van vloeibaar aardgas. Het nutsbedrijf wil gas gaan gebruiken voor het opwekken van elektriciteit. Dit moet leiden tot lagere tarieven voor consumenten. Eerder ging Aqualectra er nog vanuit dat de onderhandelingen halverwege het jaar zouden zijn afgerond. Dat is nog niet het geval.
